What is Trademark Objection?
Just filing a Trademark application does not conclude the Trademark registration application process. Once the Trademark registration application is filed, there is a trademark examination. The trademark application is checked by the examiner of trademarks. The examiner checks the application both technically and substantively and issues the examination report to the applicant.
If there is no violation of rules or other trademarks laws, it is passed and published in the Trademark Journal. However, in case there is a conflict, and the examiner raises an objection, the applicant/ attorney needs to reply as to why the application should be passed to the next stage. Failure to reply may lead to cancellation of the application. Which is why the applicant needs to file a reply to the examination report issued by the examiner within the stipulated time.
